Brad received his BA in English and Biology from Bucknell University and a Masters in Public Health from Temple University. In 1995, Brad served as a White Brad served as a White House Intern in the Office of Presidential Personnel. Past PA Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American.

Darren Mendoza

President

Darren Mendoza, owner of Lutong Pinoy and Kanto Restaurant, has been proudly serving the South Florida community for over 8 years. With a passion for delivering authentic flavors and exceptional dining experiences, Darren has built a reputation for quality and dedication. Both restaurants offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious, traditional dishes that reflect the heart and soul of Filipino cuisine. Committed to supporting the local community, Darren continues to be an integral part of South Florida's vibrant food scene.

Omilani Alarcon

Vice President

Performing artist, poet, scholar and Founder of the Latinegras brand. an AfroFilipina powerhouse blending art, scholarship, and advocacy. A summa cum laude graduate of Cornell UniversityMs. Alarcón is a visual and performing artist, poet, scholar and Founder of the Latinegras brand. She has over ten scholarly publications, 10 albums , and was in the top 7 GRAMMY Showcase Finalists. She is fluent in four languages other than English and has traveled and studied business, languages, and performing arts in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and the Americas.


Mary Yasol

Vice President

Mary Yasol is a distinguished real estate professional with a strong reputation in Florida's local market and the luxury sector. Renowned for her expertise in guiding clients toward strategic investments, she is known for her exceptional service and innovative solutions in Miami.
Affectionately called "The Real Estate Beauty Queen of Miami," Mary has participated in prestigious beauty pageants, including the Philippine National Beauty Pageant and Miss Universe Philippines, Miami 2024. Her journey, especially after moving to the U.S. in 2012 and reigniting her real estate passion in 2015, showcases her resilience in the competitive South Florida market.
Mary has excelled in luxury homes and commercial developments with top firms like The Agency RE and Coldwell Banker Realty. Additionally, she founded beauty and wellness centers in South Florida and actively supports philanthropic initiatives, empowering communities and promoting Filipino-American partnerships.
                                                                


Mellany Killian


VP and Treasurer

With over 15 years of experience in the accounting industry, Mellany holds an MBA from Florida Atlantic University and has served as the Director of the Accounting Department for various non-profit organizations. In 2021, she founded Kaiser Seal Business Solutions, where she provides expert financial consulting and solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of nonprofits and other businesses. Passionate about helping organizations achieve their financial goals, Mellany combines a deep understanding of accounting principles with a commitment to community impact.

Shay Manibog

Vice President

Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in Family, Elder Law, and Circuit Civil Courts.
Facilitate communication between parties and their attorneys to achieve fair, cost-effective resolutions. In Family Law, handle divorce, asset distribution, alimony, and child custody. For Civil disputes, I address breach of contract, employment issues, landlord-tenant conflicts, and personal injury claims.
Hold a law degree with honors from Purdue University and have 16 years of experience in dispute resolution, focusing on mediation to help clients avoid costly litigation.


Mari Pantoja-Smith


Executive Committee

With over 20 years of extensive clinical expertise spanning specialties such as step-down trauma, telemetry, outpatient care, ambulatory services, and pediatrics, Mari Pantoja-Smith has forged a dynamic career at the intersection of healthcare delivery, technology, and leadership. Her breadth of experience, coupled with a passion for global health equity, clinician empowerment, and advancing healthcare technology, positions her as a catalyst for positive change in the industry. As an Engagement Manager for the Mayo Clinic, Mari is a vital connector between the Center for Digital Health and the clinical practice. Her thought leadership extends into academic contributions, including co-authoring a forthcoming article for BMJ Quality and Safety on patient remote monitoring. Mari holds a Master of Nursing degree and is pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Science at Old Dominion University, with anticipated completion in May 2025.

 Cecilia Lim

Vice Chair

Cecilia M. Lim's career spans the realms of law, business, and creative storytelling. As an attorney with over 2 decades of corporate law and technology expertise, she brings a sharp intellect and strategic mindset to all her endeavors. Driven by a passion for her heritage, she founded Kwento Comics, where she serves as CEO, aiming to elevate and reimagine Filipino mythology for a global audience. Furthermore, she also serves as CBO and President of Halo Halo Corp. The Halo Halo app seeks to create an unforgettable digital experience by merging top-tier content with cutting-edge technology, Her unique blend of professional skills and cultural passion defines her multifaceted career. Cecilia holds a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois and a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
